The Story Behind Hummingbird

My grandpa was like a second dad to me.

When he got older and needed help, his kids were living in Florida and New York and couldn't make it out to Arizona. So I showed up. I even left my job so I could be there for him - every Friday, I drove to his assisted living community, took him to his doctor's appointments, went shopping for him, and brought him food. I just took care of him - because he was my grandpa, and I loved him.

But there was something that always stayed with me: he didn't like where he was living. The care wasn't what it should have been. And the hard truth is, nobody had really taken the time to find the right community for him. His family made the best decision they could from far away, without someone local who knew the communities, who could ask the right questions, who could advocate for him.

I wish someone had been there to help them do that.

That experience never left me. I saw what it looks like when a senior ends up in the wrong community - and I saw what it costs them. I also saw how much a little attention, a little advocacy, a little showing up on Fridays can mean to someone who might otherwise feel forgotten.

That's why I started Hummingbird Senior Advisors.

How a Referral Partnership Works

    Amber visits your community, tours your spaces, meets your team, and learns what makes your community special. This is how she represents you authentically to families.

    We Sign a Referral Agreement

    A simple one-page agreement covers the referral fee, payment timing, and expectations on both sides. Standard in the industry - no surprises.

    Amber Refers Qualified Families

    When Amber works with a family whose needs match your community, she introduces them with full context and honest alignment on fit.

    Family Tours Your Community

    Amber may accompany the family as their advocate, or connect them directly with your sales team - depending on what serves the family best.

    Placement & Referral Fee

    When the family moves in, the referral fee is paid by your community to Hummingbird Senior Advisors LLC per the signed agreement. The family pays nothing.
